Whereas the Gulf Cooperation Council, which was established in May 1981 and includes six member countries (the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - the State of the United Arab Emirates - Qatar - Kuwait - the Sultanate of Oman - the Kingdom of Bahrain), the Council is considered one of the most important political and economic blocs, where the gross domestic product of its community is estimated About (1500) trillion dollars, and it produces about one-fifth of the oil in the world (18 million barrels per day), and the population of the GCC countries is estimated at about 55 million people, and the GCC countries are considered strategic ,important, economic and commercial canters and very close to the African continent. Of its imports, as the total bilateral trade between the GCC countries and Africa, amounted to about 71 billion dollars in the year 2019, of which 47 billion dollars is the value of the exports of the GCC countries to Africa and 24.5 billion is the value of Africa’s exports to the GCC countries. A great desire for the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council to strongly enter the African market, after the remarkable development in African administrations in terms of developmental policies and laws and the will of leaders in many countries, foremost of which is the Federal Republic of Nigeria as a response to the requirements of economic competition and transparency to seize more fruitful opportunities.
  4. The continent of Africa, which consists of 55 countries and whose population is estimated at 1.5 billion, with a total GDP of about 750 billion dollars. The most developed African countries for the year 2019 were classified according to a report from the International Monetary Fund. They are considered one of the most attractive continents in the world for investment due to their enormous natural resources and strategic location, so they are considered one of the most important destinations for Gulf investment during the coming period. What encourages this is the great openness of African countries to the world in various fields of cooperation, which made it a destination for attracting the investments of many developed countries (China - Germany - Russia - France - Spain and others) and in this regard, Nigeria finds it at the forefront of the African countries targeted in investment, especially as it has witnessed a very large development and noticeable in the banking sector, which is considered the lever of the economy and transparent trade exchange, as well as studies and forecasts indicate the rise and development of a number of African countries in the coming period, which encourages attracting more investors, individuals and institutions from around the world, in addition to the need for other countries for companies and investments in the fields of reconstruction ( Libya - South Sudan - the Democratic Republic of the Congo - Somalia).
